From the Middle School Principal
Dear Parents, Grandparents, Guardians and Students,
This month Pleasant Valley Middle School was selected by the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction as one of the top schools in the State of Washington for Academic Achievement and for Closing Achievement Gaps. Pleasant Valley was the only middle school in the District to earn such recognition. The recognition was based on test scores of several student groups.
Reading, writing, math and science test scores were used to determine award winners. The groups of students measured included students from low-income families, students not from low-income families, improvement compared to all students from the previous year, and comparisons with schools with similar student characteristics. I’m extremely proud of our dedicated teachers, students, and supportive parents!
